Canada boss Jesse Marsch may have felt his side were the better team on Saturday, but Morocco's 3-0 win -- led by Azzedine Ounahi -- told a different story.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup's Round of 16 kicks off on the 4th of July in Houston, where Canada meets Morocco at noon.

A second-half brace from Azzedine Ounahi and a third from Soufiane Rahimi saw Morocco become the first nation to make the quarterfinals of the World Cup with a 3-0 win over co-hosts Canada.

Azzedine Ounahi scored twice to lead Morocco to a 3-0 win over Canada in the World Cup round of 16 Saturday to make the country the first African nation to reach the quarterfinals more than once. It’s Morocco’s second straight appearance in the quarterfinals after becoming the first African team to reach the semifinals in 2022.

Soufiane Rahimi added a third goal in the final minute of stoppage-time to make it a three-goal victory. The three goals came from three of the four shots on target Morocco had over 90 minutes. Canada had more time in its attacking half and more shots,
